MSU Motorsports

The Formula SAE team is open to undergraduate and graduate students in all majors. The team is responsible for designing, building, and testing an open-wheeled racecar within a tight budget.

Because of this, students in a variety of majors are necessary for a successful team including: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Marketing, Accounting, and Business.

Even though you may not be a student in one of these majors, you can still be a vital part of the Formula SAE team. Whether you are an automotive enthusiast or just want to practice your studies in a real world environment, you are welcome to join the Formula SAE team by contacting one of the officers or stopping by the design room at Patterson 201-S.

Mississippi State Motorsports has weekly meetings on Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. in Patterson 201-S. If you are interested in joining the Formula SAE team, please bring a completed application to one of the weekly meetings.
